On Dec 22 Two volunteers from sidelines Club Wesley & Sal delivered 40 Lbs of Ham, 40 Lbs of Potatoes, 6 Gallons of Breyers Ice Cream and 5 Lbs of Cookies to the 18 Children and 3 Adults who stayed behind at the Orphanage over the Christmas week. They were very Happy to see Sal & Wesley and were as always very grateful for the food that we delivered! We Plan to return Mid-January with some improvements for the soccer field and play with the Kids and of course deliver more staple foods for the kitchen. We will do this on a monthly Basis in partnership again with the The Stephenson Pope Babcock Foundation!
September 2009
On September 5th, 2009 We made our 5th trip this year to the City of Refuge Orphanage. We introduced the kids to a traditional American Bar-B-Que (Cheeseburgers & Hot Dogs). We played Soccer with the Boys and also enjoyed some singing led by Mario our guitarist. We were able to make a trip to Costco so we could contribute food supplies to the Ophanage kitchen. We are thankful to be able to help as everyone here is a selfless person.

After delivering the Christmas gifts Earlier this year. We returned to the City of Refuge Orphanage on June 20, 2009. We brought sports equipment to the kids and at the request of the staff we delivered 100 lbs of staple foods for the Orphanage kitchen. We were able to spend a couple of hours playing soccer with the boys and had a great time! It was amazing to see the joy and spirit of competition in the childrens faces. We have made a commitment to visit on a monthly basis and have also decided that bringing food will be part of our monthly visits.
